About Me

Hi! I’m so glad you found me! Let me tell you a little bit about myself and my journey through life so far. I am a 42 year old wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. I have a super supportive husband Patrick, and two amazing sons Travis (21) and Jaxon (9). I work full time as an assistant manager at a bank, and I craft as a hobby, mostly crochet. My family loves to travel, and I also contribute to making beautiful music with our local community wind ensemble by playing the clarinet.

I decided to begin this blog after getting well into my journey with breast cancer. My main focus is to help educate and bring awareness to the importance of early detection. I promise you, I am the poster child for why it is so VERY important. However, I don’t want my story or my life to completely revolve around that. There is much more to me than my cancer experience, so I intend to write about a variety of things. You may see posts about my crafting hobby. You may see posts about travel. You may see posts about music, parenting, outdoor activities, and more.

I’d also like for this to become a conversation over time. Please ask me questions. I am not shy about sharing any part of my experience. If I can help just one person through their own journey, or inspire one person to get their mammogram at their recommended age, I will consider this blog successful in it’s purpose.
