The doctor decided that he wants to do a biopsy of another one of the microcalcification clusters before they develop my treatment plan. It will be the same type of biopsy that I got the first time with the table with the dreaded hole. I am actually glad he decided to do it though, because that means we won’t have to worry about that cluster later on down the road. I figure the more informed that they are about what is going on in my body, the better.
This biopsy will take place next Monday, and we have a conference scheduled the following Monday to go over the results and the plan.
It is nice to not have so much anxiety regarding the biopsy this time considering I know exactly how it goes. I just generally don’t do well with “procedures” or the thought of surgeries since the only reason I have ever been admitted into a hospital or cut was when I had my kids. I haven’t even been put under for anything before. The thought of it and not knowing what to expect really gets to me.
