Patrick and I had a nice walk along Newnan’s LINC path yesterday and around downtown Newnan. I had my follow up with Dr. Durden today, and I no longer have to go weekly! Yay healing! I can FINALLY take a full shower, and I no longer have to get fills into the tissue expanders
I had my weekly follow up with Dr. Durden today. His team says that everything is looking good and coming right along! They did another fill, and I think I have at least one more before we can call it quits on that. Patrick and I got there early so that we could check out
Patrick and I went to Sweetwater Creek State Park for the first time since they did some renovating, I voted, I got Travis and I signed up for TSA Pre-Check, and I had a fantastic rehearsal with the Carrollton Wind Ensemble! My fellow Squidwards (clarinetists 😆) surprised me with a card and gifts to celebrate
I had my weekly follow up with Dr. Durden today. I can now raise my arms over my head which means I can wear t-shirts again, and I can eat sweet stuff every now and then. I still can’t have any caffeine, but I can handle that if I can have some cake! I also

Getting closer and closer to normal! I was finally able to wash my hair on my own yesterday for the first time since the surgery! I still can’t take a full on shower, but I can definitely throw my head over the side and use the handheld shower head! I am also finally able to drive

I am feeling a bit more normal today! Just had my check up with the plastic surgeon, and not only did they remove the drains, but I also got my first fill into the tissue expanders! Yay progress!
I know I haven’t posted in a couple of days but everything is just truckin right along. I went on my first walk up to the square and back since the surgery. It is a beautiful day Spring is absolutely in the air, and I feel like it is the perfect time for new beginnings!

I just got finished with the breast surgeon follow up, and guess what! Your girl is CANCER FREE! So yeah, I cried again today, but these tears were 100% relief and joy!
